SAS is intended to help connect policy to operation:

Policy → expected state → execution → control → evidence → deviation → action

This can support questions such as:

  • Which controls ran during the period?
  • Which records or process instances were checked?
  • What was compliant and what deviated?
  • Which exceptions were approved, by whom, and until when?
  • Which action corrected the deviation?
  • Can the outcome be traced back to the policy or decision matrix?

Formal compliance remains an organizational responsibility. SAS can provide structured execution and evidence capabilities; it does not by itself certify compliance with a law or framework.
