Dataflow Composer validates connections between source fields, functoid outputs, functoid inputs, and target fields.
Literal or fixed values
A value entered directly as text can be accepted as a number when it contains a valid number. Both a point and a comma can be used as decimal separator.
Linked values
A link from a source to a functoid or from one functoid to another must have compatible types. When the output type and input type do not match, validation fails. The designer does not silently convert the linked value.
Use an explicit conversion functoid when conversion is required. Validate and preview the design before import.
