Welcome to SAS
A concise introduction to the Service Automation Suite.
On this page
The Service Automation Suite (SAS) is a structured platform between business processes and the systems, services, and data that support them.
SAS does not treat integration as the end result. A connection between two systems still needs data handling, decisions, exception behavior, ownership, monitoring, security, and evidence. SAS brings these recurring capabilities together so they can be configured, reused, governed, and eventually orchestrated as one process.
What SAS is designed to provide
| Need | SAS direction |
|---|---|
| Connect systems and services | API Composer and Endpoint Composer |
| Collect, combine, and transform data | Dataflow Composer and functoids |
| Capture input | Forms |
| Execute actions and recurring operational work | Automation and Operational Activities |
| Coordinate people and teams | Collaboration |
| Monitor and steer | Dashboard and reporting |
| Bring the full process together | Process Orchestrator |
| Manage tenants, instances, releases, usage, and partners | SAS Cloud Management Platform |
Today and tomorrow
API Composer, Dataflow Composer, and Endpoint Composer are available as independent components today. Process Orchestrator and Cloud Management are being built to bring the platform together without delaying the capabilities customers already need.
