Product direction

Policies, matrices, entitlements, and platform controls are product direction.

A policy states what the organization expects and why. A decision rule or matrix turns that expectation into an outcome. A control checks whether reality still matches it.

Example chain

  1. Policy: sensitive functions require a managed secure device.
  2. Decision Matrix: role, location, and contract type determine the required device and applications.
  3. Entitlement: the employee should receive a specific managed laptop and access set.
  4. Automation: the required systems are updated.
  5. Operational Activity: the actual device and access are checked periodically.
  6. Evidence: the result, policy, approval, and deviation are recorded.
  7. Reporting: compliant allocations and exceptions are visible.

These components are part of the future control direction.
