Term Meaning
Composer A SAS component used to configure a specific kind of integration or data behavior.
Data set Stored platform data that can be used as a source or target. Some product screens use the term entity.
Request One configured API call in API Composer.
Sequence Requests that run in order and can pass values to later requests.
Environment Shared addresses, credentials, headers, and variables for API Composer.
Data Context Values kept in memory during one API Composer sequence run.
Dataflow A visual design and the data set rebuilt by its imports.
Functoid A reusable transformation operation in Dataflow Composer.
Endpoint One published object at one runtime address.
Security profile The API-key configuration used to protect Endpoint Composer endpoints.
Deliverable A published API Composer entity output that can be started by the wider platform.
Runnable A published whole API Composer sequence or stand-alone request.
Import In Dataflow Composer, the run that rebuilds the dataflow output. In API Composer, loading exported configuration.

Process Control — the ability to design, execute, monitor, steer, explain, and improve an end-to-end process.

Operational Activity — a recurring or event-driven control activity that checks whether the actual situation still matches a policy or expected state.

Decision Matrix — a structured comparison of dimensions, such as role, location, contract type, or risk, that determines an outcome.

CMP — SAS Cloud Management Platform; the management and service-delivery plane above SAS runtime instances.

Living process documentation — documentation generated from structured process configuration, history, logging, policies, and actual outcomes.
